What kinds of professionals join as experts?

Attaché attracts senior professionals across the full spectrum of healthcare: physicians and clinical leaders, hospital and health system executives, market development and international program specialists, regulatory and government relations professionals, consultants with deep regional expertise, and academics with strong institutional ties. What they share is genuine depth, real relationships in specific markets, and the kind of knowledge that takes years to build and cannot be replicated from the outside.

They range from active senior professionals taking on select engagements that align with their expertise, to recently retired executives who want to continue contributing meaningfully on their own terms, to independent consultants looking for a platform that reflects the seriousness of what they do. All are here because someone in the network believed their knowledge and relationships were exceptional.

I am recently retired or semi-retired. Is this platform right for me?

Absolutely, and we would argue it is one of the best uses of the platform. Executives and senior professionals who have recently retired or moved to a semi-retired arrangement have often spent decades building exactly the kind of institutional knowledge, relationships, and credibility that organizations will pay seriously for. The difference is that until now, there was no clean, structured way to make that available on your own terms.

Through Attaché you decide what you take on, when, and at what scope. Some members in this situation do a handful of advisory calls a month. Others take on a retainer arrangement that occupies a day or two per week. The platform handles the contracts, invoicing, and payments, so there is no administrative overhead. Your profile contains no identifying information. Your name and institutional affiliation are only disclosed after you accept a specific engagement and both parties have signed a mutual NDA.

Many of our most valued members joined at precisely this stage of their careers. The knowledge does not retire when you do.
How does the application process work?

Attaché is invitation-only by design. Most experts joined because someone in the network vouched for them personally. Occasionally, a senior professional finds us independently and reaches out directly. Our leadership team reads every application. For self-submissions, we set up a one-on-one conversation to get to know you before making any decisions.

If you do not have a referral, you can request consideration through the site. Entry without a referral is rare. The referral requirement is not bureaucracy, it is the foundation of how trust works in this network.
Is there a cost to join as an expert?

There is no cost to join. A facilitation fee is deducted from expert compensation before disbursement when an engagement is completed. You earn before we do.

What kinds of engagements are available?

Four types: advisory calls (a single paid consultation on a specific question), targeted introductions (you make a specific introduction and provide the context that makes it land), defined project engagements (scoped work with a clear outcome, such as opening institutional relationships or reaching a signed MOU), and ongoing advisory retainers for situations where the work is continuous. Illustrative fee ranges are shown on the main site. Actual compensation is agreed directly between you and the engaging organization. For everything beyond the advisory call, how the relationship develops after the initial engagement is between the two parties.

Do I have to accept every request?

No. You review each request and accept or decline. You are never required to give a reason for declining and it has no effect on your standing. You can also pause your profile at any time without deactivating your account.

I am a physician. What am I permitted to do on this platform?

Physicians are welcome in an advisory and commercial capacity. Permitted activities include market strategy advice, institutional relationship development, regulatory guidance, and local presence representation for healthcare organizations.

This platform does not facilitate clinical consultations, second opinions, or any form of patient-specific medical advice. This restriction is non-negotiable.

What if an organization and I want to work together directly, outside the platform?

This is completely possible and Attaché Network will support it. If you and an organization you met through the platform both want to move the relationship into a direct arrangement, whether that is a full employment role, a long-term direct contract, or any other structure outside the platform, you can do so through a direct conversion.

Either party contacts us at conversions@attachenetwork.com. Attaché calculates the conversion fee on a tenure-based sliding scale: 6 months or less of engagement, 12 months of the current monthly rate; 7 to 12 months, 9 months of the rate; 13 to 18 months, 6 months of the rate; 19 months or more, 4 months of the rate. The longer the relationship has run, the lower the exit fee, because the value of the introduction has already been substantially realized. The fee is payable by the organization. Once paid, Attaché issues a written release for that specific pairing.

The conversion fee is not a penalty. It is the fair value of the introduction Attaché made. We actively want relationships that grow into something permanent, which is why the fee reduces over time rather than staying fixed.

Your profile remains active on the platform for other engagements after a conversion, unless you request otherwise.

Who is Attaché for?

Organizations that need credible in-country representation in international markets without the cost or timeline of a direct hire. This includes hospitals and health systems building international programs, medical tourism companies, consulting firms needing rapid expert access across geographies, pharmaceutical and life sciences companies entering new markets, AI and health technology companies seeking healthcare clients, and institutional investors requiring regional sector expertise.

What problem does Attaché solve?

Organizations entering new geographic markets consistently underestimate what it takes to build credibility and access in those markets. A direct hire takes 4 to 8 months to recruit and then years to build the relationships that actually move things forward. Attaché connects you with professionals who have already spent years building those relationships in your target market, available on a structured retainer from day one.

What geographies do you actually have coverage in?

Active expert coverage currently exists in Istanbul, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Los Angeles. If you need coverage in a geography not listed, submit a brief through our form and we will assess whether we can source or already have relevant experts available. We do not list a geography as covered unless we have verified experts with genuine relationships in that market.

If your target geography is not listed above, tell us. We will give you an honest assessment of what we have rather than overpromising.
How do you select who gets into the network?

The network grows through personal referrals, direct invitations from our leadership team, and occasionally through senior professionals who find us independently and reach out directly. There is no advertising and no open listings. Our leadership team reads every application and speaks with self-submissions before making any decisions.

Our leadership team reads every application and speaks with most applicants before a profile is activated. This is not a checklist exercise. It is a judgment call about whether we would personally stake our reputation on this introduction, because every time we make a match, that is exactly what we are doing. Most referrals do not make it through. Not because the person lacks credentials, but because credentials are the baseline, not the standard.

Every expert makes a binding written representation that the information in their application is accurate. Misrepresentation is grounds for immediate removal from the platform.

The referral-only model is not a growth constraint. It is the product. The moment the quality of this network depends on a process rather than our leadership team's personal judgment, it becomes a directory. That is not what this is.
Do you verify professional credentials, licenses, and degrees?

No, and we are transparent about that. Attaché Network does not independently verify academic degrees, professional licenses, medical credentials, or clinical qualifications. We do not query state medical boards, nursing license databases, university registrars, or other primary sources.

What we do require is a binding written representation from every expert that all information in their application is accurate. If misrepresentation is discovered, the expert is removed from the platform immediately.

This is a deliberate position, not a gap. Our platform is not a staffing or credentialing service. We facilitate introductions for advisory and commercial engagements. The organization engaging the expert is responsible for their own due diligence on credentials relevant to the specific work being done. A hospital engaging a physician for market advisory work has its own credentialing processes if clinical verification is relevant. That is not our function and we do not take it on.

If you require independently verified credentials for a specific engagement, we make that straightforward. Once both parties have signed a mutual NDA, credential documentation can be shared directly through the platform. We facilitate the process and you conduct the verification.
We only need someone for a short period. Does this still work?

This is exactly what Attaché is designed for. The platform is built around the reality that most international market needs are not permanent. A hospital system entering the GCC might need someone credible and connected for six months while the initial partnerships are established. A technology company might need a single introduction to the right procurement decision-maker. A consulting firm might need a specific expert for a defined project. All of these are legitimate needs that a direct hire cannot serve cleanly.

Because experts participate as independent contractors, there is no employment infrastructure to build in a foreign jurisdiction, no benefits to administer, no payroll tax exposure, and no severance obligation when the engagement concludes. You pay for the scope you need. When the work is done, the arrangement ends cleanly.

Short engagements are not a compromise on this platform. They are the intended use case for many organizations. You define the scope. We find the right person for it.
How fast can we have an expert active?

Once a brief is submitted, our leadership team reviews it and works with the organization to confirm the full scope. That process typically takes 24 to 48 hours. Once the engagement is defined and posted, experts in the network review and respond. From a posted brief to an accepted engagement and signed agreement is typically 3 to 10 days. This compares to 4 to 8 months for a standard direct hire of a senior international role, before the time needed to build relationships from scratch once that person is in place.

How does pricing work?

Organizational subscriptions are billed monthly or annually at Scout ($1,500/month), Connect ($4,500/month), or Presence ($6,000+/month custom) tiers. In addition to the subscription, organizations pay expert compensation directly through the platform. Expert compensation is agreed between the organization and the expert for professional advisory and market development services rendered. It varies by engagement type and geography. A facilitation fee is deducted from expert compensation before disbursement. Compensation is structured as a flat professional services fee and is never tied to referral volume, patient numbers, or clinical activity of any kind.

All expert compensation on this platform is structured as a flat advisory fee for professional services rendered. There is no per-patient, per-referral, or volume-based compensation permitted under any engagement on this platform, by design and by contract. This is a structural choice that keeps every engagement outside the definitions of remuneration that create regulatory exposure in healthcare contexts.

Why is there a subscription fee on top of expert compensation? Are we paying twice?

They cover different things. Your subscription covers everything required to make an engagement work: brief review and scoping by our leadership team, expert vetting, NDA execution when identities are revealed, contract management, escrow and payment processing, conflict monitoring, and direct leadership team access throughout the engagement. Expert compensation is separate and goes to the expert directly, net of a facilitation fee.

Other platforms charge per-brief review fees, NDA execution fees, expedited review premiums, and expert listing or activation fees on top of their subscription. At Attaché, all of that is included. One number. No per-transaction charges. No surprise additions.

The broader comparison: a fully-loaded senior international hire costs $180,000 to $220,000 in year one, takes 4 to 8 months to recruit, requires 12 to 18 months to build meaningful relationships in a new market, and carries real severance exposure. A Connect subscription plus a $3,000 per month local presence expert is approximately $7,500 per month with active market relationships from week one, no recruitment risk, and no severance obligation.

Can we prevent the expert from working with our competitors?

Exclusivity arrangements are available on Connect and Presence tiers for specific geographies and sectors. Connect tier includes monthly written conflict monitoring confirmation. Exclusivity terms are specified in the engagement agreement and enforced through the platform's conflict monitoring system.

What if an expert underperforms?

If an engagement is terminated within the first 60 days because an expert is not delivering against the agreed scope, Attaché Network will conduct a replacement search and facilitate a new introduction at no additional cost. We commit to identifying and proposing replacement candidates within 5 business days of receiving written notice of termination. Finding the right person in a specific geography takes diligence, and we apply that diligence in full, but we recognize that you are already behind schedule and we treat the replacement process accordingly.

What if we want to hire an expert permanently and take the relationship off-platform?

This is completely possible and Attaché supports it. Some of the best matches naturally evolve into something permanent, and the platform is designed to accommodate that rather than obstruct it.

A concierge physician recently used Attaché to find front office staff with a very specific combination of qualities: professional presentation, genuine warmth, and the kind of natural ease with high-expectation patients that cannot really be trained. He started with a project engagement to assess the fit. Four months later he wanted to bring her on full-time. He contacted us at conversions@attachenetwork.com and because the engagement was under 6 months old, the conversion fee was 12 months of the retainer rate. Had he waited another few months, it would have been 9 months. Both parties moved into their direct arrangement without any complications, and he has since used the platform for two further searches.

Conversion fees are calculated on a sliding scale based on how long the engagement has run: 12 months of the rate at 6 months or less, down to 4 months of the rate at 19 months or more. The longer the relationship has run, the lower the exit cost, because the value of the introduction has already been realized. Either party can initiate the process at conversions@attachenetwork.com.
Can we contact an expert directly and bypass Attaché?

All introductions are subject to a non-circumvention agreement signed by both parties. Any professional engagement arising from an Attaché introduction must be conducted through the platform for a defined period. Circumventing the platform triggers a liquidated damages fee for both parties. If you want to move the relationship off-platform permanently, use the direct conversion process above.

Is our brief and strategy confidential?

Yes. Your brief and any strategic information shared with Attaché Network is covered by a mutual confidentiality agreement signed at subscription. It is never shared with other organizations on the platform.
